Toyota Men’s Big 5 Classic Matchups Decided With Penn And Villanova Set For Championship Game
Earlier tonight, the final pod matchup of the Big 5 season decided the seedings and championship game for the third annual Toyota Men’s Big 5 Classic this Saturday.
With a 74-56 win over Temple own their home court at Finneran Pavilion, Villanova finished pod play a perfect 2-0 to land a spot in the Championship game. The Wildcats will face off against the Penn Quakers (2-0) on December 6 at Xfinity Mobile Arena at 7:30 p.m. ET.
This year’s tripleheader will crown a first-time champion with Saint Joseph’s having won the first two Classic titles in 2023 and 2024.
Game 2 game will feature Saint Joseph’s and Temple who both finished 1-1 in their respective pods at 4:30 p.m.
Drexel finished 0-2 in Pod 1 and will match up against La Salle (0-2) in Game 1 to start the tripleheader at 2:00 p.m. Below are the matchups and game times for Saturday’s tripleheader.
